IPV6 asus 87u

i am on BT (UK) i know i have an ipv6 address but i don't know which setting in my router i need to be using in order to use it does anyone have an ideas?? 

i tired native and didn't work

1) It's been 44 minutes, we all aren't here hitting refresh hoping for more topics

2) What happens when you set it to native, what are you seeing and where are you looking?

3) How do you know you have IPv6 enabled by the provider for your area?

1) true but on a forum that seems a long time :L 

2) nothing it shows blanks and causes my internet to time out 

3) i have a IPV6 address assigned when i look it up and my ISP has told me i am in an enabled area.

worked it out, it's the last option once i give it DNS servers it is fine :)

So a little more information about the different modes

Static means they've given you a set block of addresses, usually a /64 or /56, and you'd know if you had this so I highly doubt it's that.

The two different tunnels are different ways of passing IPv6 traffic over an IPv4 only network

The last option is for rapid deployment over an IPv4 infrastructure.

 

 

Edit: I see you've got it working with 6rd, glad it's up and running now :)

Its not that simple dude. There are a few set up options that ISP's have used. There really inst a standard. You need to go to your ISP and ask for the settings. I had a bitch of a time setting IPv6 up with Comcast. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
