Okey i got a h100i for 2 years now and i slowly watched my temps rising as the timed passed today i tried to switch thermal compound and in the prime 95 test i got 89c constant temperature at 4 minutes running time with 20c room temperature. i remember when i got it first with prime was getting 55c i cant underastnd what is going on.. i tested my older cooler 212 and i got 75c max with prime. I got an i5 4690 no overclock and nothing is blocking my airflow...

My H55 runs fine at 1400 :P

A faster pump speed means the heated liquid has less time to dissipate the heat so therefore the CPU doesn't heat up as much.

If it's a variable speed pump, you can possibly change it through voltage or PWM within the BIOS. I don't think that the H100i has one though.

From what I remember, the H60 doesn't have a variable speed pump, so you are either damaging the pump, or putting it under stress.

It was about 2000RPM out of the box and every time I do a fan speed reset in Asus Ai Suite 3 it always resets.

As it should because it's being treated as a fan. But it doesn't change what I said.

I'm not denying that, but you shouldn't be because it's not using a variable speed pump. It should be running at full speed constantly.

OP: This might sound stupid but if i'd be you I'd check if my radiator isn't full of dust. A bad airflow trough your rad could be a cause of the heat not dissipating. Also consider making sure your fans are running properly (we'd assume you did that already) and make sure thermal paste was applied properly last time you changed it (We'd also assume that you know how to apply thermal paste).

So if the airflow on your radiator isn't a problem (fans running properly and no dust in it) and thermal paste was applied properly I'd also assume that your pump might start to suffer some issues.

Another extremely rare case scenario would be that your ambient temps (Inside the chasis) would be extremely high for an unknown reason and therefore not dissipating the heat in the radiator properly. This is highly unlikely though....

Best regards!

In my experience, a h100i without any fans running was enough to keep a 3570K@4.2GHz under 75C under gaming so yah know...

What are the idle temps and gaming temps? Prime95 isn't always the best for getting normal operational temps :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
