Is One Dead Pixel Acceptable?

So I know a few years back it was considered acceptable to find one or two dead pixels on a display when buying a new one, my question is if thats still the case, I have a sharp 4K 43inch TV that I just found a dead pixel on and its under 6 months old, but there is only one.

On TVs if you sit far enough away you might not notice it but on monitors or closer TVs that is the only thing I look at. If you notice it try to see if it covered under warranty.

for monitors its pretty annoying but I just fixed my dead pixel by flicking it

Ultimately, the acceptability of a dead pixel comes down to the customer, and in this case, that would be you. From a criteria perspective, dead pixels may be allowed, especially depending on where that dead pixel is located. If you're unhappy with it, you can certainly complain to the manufacturer, but they also reserve the right to deny your "RMA request."

This, just read the monitor's warranty book to see the amount of dead pixels allowed in an area

looks like dead pixels are case by case for my TV, dont know if it would be worth trying to RMA it though since its just the one I can see on a black screen.
