new rig at 1350€

DivertoR

Greeting everyone!

I have made a rig with my average knowledge:

RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB-Kit Red PC3-14900U CL 9-10-9-27 (DDR3- 1866) 88€

GPU ASUS MATRIX-R9280X-P-3GD5, AMD Radeon R9 280X, 3GB DDR5 325€

MoBo ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO (C2) 166€

Case Corsair Carbide Air540 119€

CPUc Corsair Hydro Series H100i 94€

PSU Corsair Professional Series HX850 80PLUS Gold 850W 134€

CPU Intel Core i7-4770K Box, LGA1150 285€

SSD Samsung SSD 840 EVO Basic 120GB SATA 6Gb/s 87€

1298€ Grand Total

i've made this rig based on quality brands with a black and red theme (i will also buy some SP120 fans and a red kathode tube)

i need this rig for gaming and some video editing (premier, AE,) and gaming (BF4, COD, GTA, MOBA & other new upcoming tittles) i will be doing some OC to the CPU, i will be playing on 1080p, i dont need any other part except those i mention above cause i have the other parts on my current old rig. the 50€ from 1350€ budget will be used for shipping and some SP 120 fans.

the store that i will buy these is www.hardwareversand.de, if you know any other store from european union with these or better items on lower price let me know please :)

what is your opinion about the above rig? can i have better performance/quality with this budget?

Thank you for your time.

It is quite a nice build. You might want to consider a HDD for extra storage. Only a SSD isn't going to cut it.

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

If you can try find a Radeon 7970 which is basically the same as the new (rebranded) R9 280x it will be better

the matrix 7970P costs 10€ less in EU... and some times 280x is cheaper that 7970, i have already looked that possibility...

Do you really need a 850 watt Psu?

My Pc: Cpu: I7 4790k @ 4,8 Ghz @1,25 volts, Motherboard: Maximus VII Formula, Graphicscard: 2x Titan X @1,4 at stock voltage (soon to be replaced), Ram: 32 gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 Cl 9, SSD: 2x 850 Pro 1 Tb in Raid 0, 2x Samsung 840 Evo 1 tb raid 1,, PSU: Corsair HXi Series 1000W 80+ Platinum, Case: H440. Soon to be watercooled again, maybe, probably, the Titans are too loud.

Fpr a single Gpu yes for an Sli/Xfire setup it's ok.

@DivertoR This should be better then your setup: https://www.mindfactory.de/shopping_cart.php/basket_action/load_basket_extern/id/a2d50f220077153d6b60bdd135da25983964e858cbad81a11cf

. It costs about 20€ more but it has 16 gb 2133 mhz ram a better Psu (It's still 850 Watt and 80+ Gold but it's better in therms of noise.) A 250 gb ssd and yeah just a better overall pc.

interesting build... but you have removed the water cooling... what difference will i see with your suggested rig opposed to mine?

your rig seems much better but i will have to sacrifice on cpu and gpu OC. is it worthy a pc with less cpu/gpu power but more ram and ssd over a pc with less ram and ssd but better cpu/gpu power?

ram and ssd can be upgrated without throwing away the ram and the ssd i will be having. but cpu cooling and vga cannot be upgrated without trowing away the ones that i already have... whats your thoughts about that?

1. If you get 8 gb of ram you will be limited to 16 gb's but if you for 16 gb you can go up to 32 gb. 2. For me 250 gb is the ssd sweetspot. 3. An H100i isn't that mutch better then a bequiet Dark Rock 2. 4. You can oc your card... It's the same Gpu just another cooler. (And that cooler ain't that mutch better) I think you should go for the build i did .

ok i have reconfigured my rig to fit water cooler, 16gb ram and 256gb ssd:

CPU: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=78030&agid=2211&pvid=9mjbkzpzn_0&ref=27

MoBo: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=93928&agid=2241&pvid=9mxxfi3dn_0&ref=27

GPU: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=110745&agid=2447&pvid=9nddobocv_0&ref=27

RAM: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=82143&agid=1193&pvid=9mn3mj5r4_0&ref=27

PSU: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=71387&agid=1630&pvid=9md7uub0e_0&ref=27

SSD: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=67222&agid=1145&pvid=9m9e3djn4_0&ref=27

CPUc: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=71314&agid=669&pvid=9md5fwxq6_0&ref=27

Case: http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=73314&agid=631&pvid=9mezletdz_0&ref=27

total: 1.372,85

unfortunately Mindfactory wants to charge me 60€ for shipping which is unacceptable when hardwareversand charges me 20€...

so im sticking with hardwareversand for the moment. 1 questions though:

am i going to be ok with 2x 280x crossfired gpus & 1SSD/2HDD with the 760W PSU? plus the OC cpu...

What are the parts from your old rig?

Btw, corsair fans are quite loud.
