I would also recommend scan but sometimes you can find things cheaper on overclockers.co.uk or Aria

they sell some of the higher end cards such as the 7970 but they are expensive http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/asus-amd-radeon-hd-7970-pci-e-graphics-card-3-gb-20745326-pdt.html

For actual retail shops, i would go for Maplin (v.good and knowledgeable, much better than PCworld / currys) or Novatech (if there is one near you).

The Maplin near me is awful, the staff know nothing about computers and all their prices are way too high.

Different places i guess. My local maplin were very good. Agree with prices but that's always the case with retail vs etail.

eBuyer and Scan all the way for PC parts. Scan especially, cannot recommend them enough! :D

Overclockers for the more obscure stuff and bitfenix stuff.

Maplins rarely for tools and electronic parts. They are usually more expensive for PC stuff, limited and not worth it imo.
