ok my father wants to buy a tablet ! yeah ! cheers but he wants to buy an ipad cause my uncel has one .... but i wanna convince him to buy some other tablet which is cheap and is as good as ipad

 

 

so i found Nexus 7 Tablet

 is it good what do u think about it ?

Just the Nexus man. I mean firstly it runs android. A much better option for someone who likes a quality os with no gimmicks like windows over osx. I mean it has just such a nice design and packs a punch and you will be getting a quality product. Also it will not be overpriced and flimsy like an apple product would be.

And this is how I know you are an Android fanboy. As crap as iOS is, you can't fault the awesome build quality Apple puts into their products. And their customer service is awesome. Still, I would take Nexus.

what apple products are flimsy as hell, my ipod fell about 1 foot onto the floor one time and smashed. My nexus has been accidentally dropped about 4 feet onto the floor which was concrete and was fine. You hear about more smashed apple products than all of the other brands put together

I have a NEXUS 7 2013 edition   it is so amazing, the wifi is better then my friends iPad mini along with the screen, responsiveness, speed, smoothness. Just about everything that matters.

Both the iPad mini and iPad Air including past generations of iPads all have IPS screens since the iPad 1 btw... And the iPad mini has a higher resolution screen than the nexus 7.

Get Nexus 7 II or 2013, it's better than the original Nexus 7.

The new iPad mini with Retina has a higher resolution screen than the Nexus 7, plus its slightly bigger. Nexus is cheaper than the iPad, and then there is iOS against Android. Personally I like the integration with iOS better but some like the customisability on Android more. 

 

In terms of specs the new iPads have one of the fastest chips available and put that together with a heavily integrated software and you have a very fast tablet.

 

The Nexus runs pure Android so it has instant updates from Google as well. 

 

I would say go for whatever fits the purpose better, and also hold out until the new iPads come out (iPad air/iPad mini retina)

iPad because of apps available. Android is still not quite on par. Then again iPad run iOS, which is very convenient to a certain degree, depending on how heavy your dad will use it.

The gist of it is, iPad is the best tablet for consuming media. It's got the best screen by a very wide margin, it's got one of the best battery life ratings and the App Store on iOS still has a superior quality to the Play Store when it comes to tablets.

 

If he cares about being able to fiddle around with his device and likes lots of customisation options, go Android. If he wants a device that just works and arguably works better for media consumption purposes than any other tablet, go iPad.
