Tech Advertising Rant

MrMcMuffinJr

I recently saw a  ad on Youtube about the AW 17 that said something like, "Enable mind bending VR with the next generation Nvidia 10 series graphics." I do not like how they are not specific. It could be a 1050, or a 1080. I feel as if they are dumbing it down for us, Even though that the target consumer probably already knows what a 1050, or 1080 is. What are your thought on being more specific in tech advertising.

Dell's own 5000  series laptops  have 960m  and they  go  for around 70k  and then there  is alienware  that features a 940mx  going  for INR 150k (Dell  outlet:Thane,  Mumbai)

Both  have a i7 6th generation  and when I.brought it upto  the salesman he said "you get a ton of extra Gaming features"  and I  went  like "what extra  features a  good looking  body and backlit keyboard??"  he and my friend(she  was buying the laptop and I.am the tech guy) were  both stumped  so she took me out of the store and we went  back  home( I  am still pursuing her to get a lan Pc mitx  or M atx)

There are likely different options, which is why there's no specifics. The baseline model likely has a 1060, and higher end models go up to a 1070 or 1080.
