PETA Tricked people into drinking Milk later revealing it to be Dogs Milk!

...?

I thought that was the sort of thing PETA was against, sort'a categorically.

I'm not defending PETA, mind you, I just don't know that they do that.

Its true.  i live in the same city of Peta's headquarters .

There is a long history of animal cruelt on their behalf.   back in the early 2000s some of their members stole puppies from a pet store then killed them in the peta van.  afterwards they dumped the bodies in the dumpster of a nearby Chinese restaurant .

Last year two members were caught on home serveillance stealing a dog off someone's porch and then brining a basket by the next day saying the dog had to be put down.

Its not the first time they've done it, but the first time people caught then on camera.

That's certainly heartless, though at least practical in some way. Euthanizing animals to deal with space is something entirely different from dumping vans of cat corpses into alleys.

Not even practical.  Peta's facilities have zero kennels but large quantities of incenerators.  animals are almost always killed the same day peta takes them in.

About the only good peta does is they offer low cost spay/neuter services that they can perform in a van.  my two boys got snipped by them.

Considering a smartphone today is literally more powerful than the computers used back then to send astronauts to the moon, yet we haven't been back there since the early 70s... yes, we should be.

Why should we go back?

You're not arguing that we should be ashamed of our technology
You're arguing that we should be ashamed of they way we prioritize the use of our technology
Which is a valid argument, just not relevant to my point.

Still what? It's not milk, so it's not relevant.

It's absolutely relevant, it's still the liquid used to nurture the infant insects. (hence serves the same purpose as milk)
The physiological way is produced makes no difference to the argument, they are wrong

While I have read about similar things like it, I would love to see a source for further reading.

Bloody careless, maybe if they spent less on stunts and more on making sure things like this don't happen....

I don't understand activists anymore...

There's nothing to understand anymore. No rational debate or political discourse, just extremism and rigorous adherence to ideology.

I guess that makes them not really activists, in a sense.

-snip-

PETA quote From the linked article:

Spoiler

The Court’s ruling dismissing the major parts of the claims against PETA supports PETA’s contention that this is a sham lawsuit based on lies, half-truths, and a lack of legal foundation. PETA was answering a community's call for help to abate a severe problem with dogs and has, from the start, been willing to make amends to the family, but we will not be extorted by this blatant money grab. We will pursue our pending Motion for Sanctions against the plaintiffs and their attorneys for the false and fraudulent allegations contained in the lawsuit and are prepared to vigorously defend the remaining claims.

Good fucking god, if they actually said that then that makes me hate them immediately. I don't care about the family or the dog, I just want to punch that guy in the mouth.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

-Because you actually care if it makes sense.
