500W is good. Zotac recommends a 400W power supply for the GTX 1060 so you're good.

Hey linus media tech group, i was wondering what power supply i should get for a intel i5, and a evga 1060 ftw. Right now i have a evga 500w power supply do you think that is good enough for this pc build?

i take all answers as help.

You should be fine. The 1060 draws 143W at max peak.  I can't imagine the i5 drawing 350W
