so i don't need a r9 370 4gb ?

this is (dx12 compatible)

The r9 380 is a re branded r9 280, and the r9 280 is a re branded 7970. So you would be buying a worse card. As for DX12 most games will still support dx 11 (Which your current gpu supports)

No it's not. R9 380 and 380x were GCN 3 chips, not GCN 1.

hi guys, is a good idea buy for 100$ R9 370 4gb (no r7 370) or keep the old 7970?

Your 7970 is better. R7 370 is a rebranded 7850.

Thats probably a typo as no retailers seem to stock r9 370s. Nor is there any reviews on r9 370s.

Though there is an r9 370 listed on amd's website, never seen one before which is weird.

It's an OEM exclusive, which is why we've never seen one.

According to Futuremark, it falls short of the 270.  Usually OEM cards like this are slightly underpowered from their retail counterparts, so they can fit the low wattage power supplies.  Why they would brand it as an 'r9' I have no idea.  Perhaps to trick the buyer of a pre-built into thinking they're getting top-end stuff.

Keep the 7970.

Oh, then it definitely exists. You should let AMD know so they start making drivers for it. Derp.
