Hey, so, i've been planning to build a super tight budget gaming pc for about £200 and i've been able to pick a motherboard, cpu, gpu and ram for £169 on ebay (including postage, which is about £40 all together) and then i'll buy a case, psu and keyboard from a local shop near me. But before i buy these parts, i'd like to check if they are all compatible and as far as i know, they are, but it doesn't hurt to hear other people's thoughts on this. So, here's the list of hardware i'm buying:

- MSI G41M-S03 LGA 775 motherboard

- Intel core 2 quad QX6700

- PNY GTX 660

- 2x4GB DDR3 RAM

     - PC3-10600R

     - 1333Mhz

     - DDR3

     - CL9

     - ECC

     - 2Rx4 (Dual Rank)

     - Registered

     - Module Capacity: 4GB

     - Module Quantity: 2

     - 240 Pin

Also, i would like to know what psu to buy, would 500W be enough for this?

Thank you.

Even a 860k with a 750tI will barley get 30 fps in AAA games. on low to med setting

Trust me I've been around computers for many years

Its intel extreme series. QUAD CORE.

Even my old Core 2 duo 3.16 e8500 dual core cpu with GTX 750 ti rockin on 43fps average on medium settings.

Lol at 800x600 yes.

My old 860k couldn't even get above 40 in gta 5 on low at 1080p

And you probably have population density and all that turned on the lowest too.

I don't see the reason to buy a shitty computer when you can save up and get a good one.

It's just dreams crushed when you go to play a game then realize you can only run it when it looks like a potato.

Again.. i cant find the motherboard on MSI websites.

So i cant tell u whether its support core 2 extreme or not.

If u can get your hands on asus P5K series it would be better.

and it will support core 2 extreme series cpu.

I have been using it for more than 5 years and its still working but i never use it.

Its on my first gaming pc.

500watts is more than enough.

Try buy a good power supplies. like corsair CX450M not CX series but CXM.

Dont buy a crappy PSU if u are on budget. meaning u are risking your RIG.

Because a cheap psu are crappy and will fry ur RIG.

WRONG.

His budget is $200. Creating a PC with such budget will create a computer under mediocre. He's using a PNY GTX 660 and a motherboard that's like $45. It performs like you would expect for that price.

When thats ur problem.

Because i can play GTA V with my core 2 duo at 1366x768 and able to get 43 fps at medium settings with a lil bit of tweak.

and u dont know that GTX 660 is better than 750 ti.

Some people just cant wait to save up their money.

and didnt care about graphics.

There go at not even HD.. better to just get a ps4 for 260 and play games that look good. otherwise why not buy a Gameboy and get gta on that. it will look fairly simular xD

Everyone should own a vive.

That's me, i would like some casual gaming. I know that i could build a better pc with like 500$, but i'm only spending up £250 (with the case, psu and keyboard) and i wouldn't be playing in 1080p either, my screen is only 900p, , besides i've seen a q6600 running gta v with a gtx 660 quite well, given that it's old hardware, and the gameplay with that hardware is good enough for me, and i'm even using a better cpu, so...I didn't refer it, but there's no way i'm paying 500$ for a new gaming pc, not because it's not worth, but because there's no point to buy a 500$ pc at this point in my life, i can actually aford a better pc for more than 500$ it's just a waste of money because i won't be using it for a long time

And if i'm not happy with the cpu's perforomance (because i know it's an old cpu, and i know it doesn't come close to the newer cpu's), i can always overclock it or replace it with a xeon, the higher end LGA 771 xeons perform very well, actually better than the qx6700 and the motherboard i chose is compatible with the conversion mod that's out there.

It means that the TV has 768 rows of pixels. Each row has 1366 pixels. This is typically referred to as a 720p HDTV. A 1080p TV has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 that is FULL HD.

Its pretty clear.

i am signing off.

Again it's not true HD

Well of course you you'd agree with her because you think that build can play AAA games. I'm sorry you guys only know how to use Google.

And 720please was considered HD when it first came out because comp parted to 480 it was a higher definition. not hi Def but higher.

From what we have available today . 1080p 1440p 4k etc it's no where close to being HD

Dude, @Thread212 sent proof of what a gtx 750 ti can do, and i looked it up a lot before choosing this cpu, and no, it's not a GREAT cpu, it's old, but it can indeed run triple A titles, not maxed out, of course, but it can.

here's a video of a similar setup running gta v

And don't go around saying this pc can run this at this fps unless you include resolution. people will assume you mean at 1080p because that's the standard. you have to specify it was at a lower rez or you going to make some unhappy people when they try to run it on 1080p and don't get anywhere near the fps you claimed to get .

Your just misinforming people
