Is this CPU Cooler Compatible?

I was thinking of purchasing a Corsair H55 for christmas to use on the Z170 platform, but the H55 is a pretty old cooler (manufactured before Z170 existed) is it compatible? Anyone any with comments about the H55? Or recommendations on a cooler under 50 to use in conjunction with the i5 6600k?

Z170 uses the 1151 socket and the H55 should come with brackets for 1151 so yes, it'll work.

Yeah the link on Newegg says compatible, you're good to go!

yeah its compatible, but I'd go for a dual radiator. single radiators arent exactly better than air cooling and not quieter either. 

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup

It depends on which 120mm you get...and which fans get used on it.

yeah but chances are most people use stock fans
