cpu or motherboard problem pls help

Go to solution Solved by Jeff Byous,

Mmkay. Then yeah, I'd say it's something to do with the motherboard, processor, or power supply. If you are able, try those items on other working systems to troubleshoot them.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what else it could be. That's some nice hardware though, so bummer it didn't start right up for you. :(

Hey, so yesterday I got problem on my PC he just turn himself off and when I press the button to boot it up its just restart after 4 sec, this  process didn't stop and keep going over and over again (i'l put a video) after some tests it's turned out that the problem caused by the cpu or the motherboard (a small chance that it become drone the ram stick)

now the question is if someone can tell me from where is the problem?

capturedvideo.MOV

sorry for the poor English, and thanks for anyone that will help.

check the ram. try different slots and different ram if you can.

CPU's fail much less often, so probably mobo if ram good.

I did check it and try to move it to different slot and it did nothing

A good troubleshooting technique is to unplug all non-essentials:

Basically, pull out the graphics card I see in your video there, and try to boot. If it exhibits the same behavior, unplug the hard drive(s), both power and data. If that still doesn't work, unplug the RAM sticks and use only one, but try each slot when booting. If that doesn't work, try the other RAM stick in each slot.

Unfortunately if that still doesn't work, the motherboard or processor might be suspected. Can you post a parts list?

I already did what you said, I guess the problem is the cpu or motherboard unfortunately I have only 1 ram stick so I can't check that but I think that's not the case.

here's the part list

i5 6600k

gigabyte z170x gaming 3

corsair h110i water cooling

gtx 1080 FE

wd black 1tb

kington ssd 120 gb

What are the specs of the RAM stick?

Ok so I need to go to someone check the ram stick, if it works the problem is with the board if it doesn't the problem is the stick.

but you sure that the problem is not with the processor?
