So, I am planning to build a computer and I would like to know what a stable overclock for my cpu is and how to do it.

My computer components are:

Intel i5 6600k

Pny Geforce Gtx 1060 6gb

Msi z170- A Pro LGA 1151

Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16 gb 2400 ram

Western digital Blue 1tb

Corsair 300r

I don't know what power supply to get

You'll need a CPU heat-sink just in general with the 6600k, it doesn't come with one. PSU, anything highly rated and by a major brand is usually fine but theres a thread for PSUs. I would get a 400W one at least. For the OC itself I can get 4.4GHz at 1.3V but you might not be able to, it varies by CPU. 4.3GHz is definitely stable though.

My Build: Night Fury | i5-6600k @ 4.5Ghz | R9 390 | 850 EVO 250GB | 1TB Seagate | H230 Black

you need a cpu cooler, i suggest a hyper 212 evo since its cheap and does great.

The Cryorig H7 is much better and costs just a bit more. Alternatively, there's the be quiet! Pure Rock which is similar but quieter.

@Tuanben253 A CX450M should be fine and cheap.

how much cheaper it is depends strongly on region, where i live for example a 212 is 20 euros and a H7 is 40 euros

And H7 is not that much better. Pure Rock is better than both. But its also much cheaper. Best budget cooler atm might just be M9i. But for OC purposes, any of the three H7, 212 or Pure Rock will do. Depending on region there are other good budget coolers too.

Thanks for the help guys! But what program should I use for overclocking?

BIOS for CPU, MSI Afterburner or some variant of it for GPU. You can do quick and dirty setting check with Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility, but its best to learn your way around BIOS. Helps a lot when you eventually have to clear CMOS and re-enter your clocks.
