Problems with storage device not booting into Windows

I had my computer working completely before any of this happened by the way. So I was asked my my cousin to try and recover some data off a old hard drive so i pluced it in and all I got was a Windows repair thing and when I did that nothing happened and I tried it twice and let Windows repair do its thing nothing happened. So I decided to just plug my original hard drive back in and I keep getting this message and I'm not sure what happened. I'll also tske a picture  my PC parts list and send a picture of the old hard drive.  Can anyone help me out? Http://pcpartpicker.com/list/wblLXPs

Go into the BIOS and make sure the drive is detected first.

Question is: why would someone print out a pcpartpicker link and then take a photo of it so that later you can insert the link properly to the post

Check if there could be cable lose or broken?

I tried the link and it was broken and the paper is old so I used that instead and the drive is detected in the bios I'll check all the cables

And you've checked your boot sequence within the BIOS to make sure the HDD is listed right?

There are multiple reasons for this check through this list

If windows was previously installed: windows requires certain files to boot and without those files the Hard drive becomes non bootable, If you have installed a virus, some will delete vital files in the system32 folder which may have rendered the hard drive non bootable. if there are files you require, I would use a live cd of linux to check the harddrive, as well as this I would use the live cd to get any files that are required. after this, format the hard drive and reinstall windows

If windows wasnt installed: you need to make a bootable usb of the windows you wish to install, you can do this with windows 10 by using another pc and use the USB installer, then insert the drive and the USB into the PC and use the bios to set the USB as the main boot device, then restart and install windows. then when it is installed go to the bios and change the boot sequence back to the hard drive

This is the order it's in I'm not sure what UEFI means though since there's also one in the boot order that doesn't say that it just says "hard disk"
