Gaming chair dilemma

roylapoutre

Hi guys

I'm about to buy a real chair (finally), but I'm torn between the AkRacing ProX and the DXRacer Classic.

I can have the first one for 365€ and the second one for around 350€. The DxRacer is apparently even larger than the AkRacing (they're both on the larger side of gaming chairs).

Do any of you have some experience with either of these chairs ? How's the PU quality ? What about the size/adjustability ? I'm 1.85m tall (6'1) and weigh 85kg (190 lbs) and I'm looking for a chair with enough height and width to be confortable but still well maintained. For the price, they're by far the only two chairs with the desired characteristics for me but I can't make up my mind.

Thanks !

iv tried the DXRacer one and its pretty comfy IMO, not much else to say seeing as i only tried it for about 5mins but those 5mins was like a revelation like "OH THIS IS HOW YOU SIT DOWN!" seeing as iv only ever sat in Ikea chairs before lol

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

There's research to prove that gaming chairs improve the accuracy in CS:GO, as well as allowing the person to play for longer periods of time.

Hence the £200-300 price tag. All that design and development of the colours and embroidered logo to get the above effects takes a lot of monies.

I heard that combing 2 chairs together doubles the fps. Now the gamer must find a way to sit, half of each buttocks on each chair, for this to work.

Yeah I tested some DxRacer chairs before and I know they're usually "comfier" than regular chairs, I just never tested either one of these before. Thanks for your opinion ^^

Call them whatever you want, they're basically ergonomic desk chairs but everyone is reffering to them as "gaming" chairs, who cares honestly ? You find the naming stupid, I'm glad to know that, but it's irrelevant for this topic

Maybe because "real" ergonomic desk chairs looks like that while costing even more than the "gaming" type sometimes ?

Who wants something this ugly just to get better lumbar support ? I'm not saying racing chair design is ideal, far from it actuallly, but it's a hell of a lot sexier than your classic ergonomic desk chair. But again, who cares ? As long as it's not ugly, not flashy, comfortable and reasonably priced for that kind of product, I'm okay with it.
