Some of the more noisy components in my computer is my harddrives during idle/light load.

 

Can't wait to switch over to a full SSD computer in the future.

I'd hate for my PC to be silent. I need at least a little bit of white noise or I go insane.

Two things irritate me about PC noise:

-If it's excessively harsh. This is caused by small fans and/or high speeds.

-If it changes. I absolutely cannot stand it if my fans go up and down, up and down, up and down, BLAGH.

-Because you actually care if it makes sense.
