Comfirmation for PC for friend

Go to solution Solved by antisleep,

Skylake pretty much costs the same.

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($143.98 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($49.99 @ NCIX)
Memory: Team Elite Plus 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  ($49.99 @ Newegg Canada)

^I doubt dual channel makes any real impact in his case. Also easier to upgrade to 16gb.
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 2GB Mini Video Card  ($139.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Total: $383.95 ($398.95 - $15 rebate)

So my friend needs a new PC and hes got $430 CAD to spend on it. This is what I was thinking. I went haswell because its cheaper and at the low end every dollar counts. Hes not upgrading for a few years so upgrade path doesnt matter. He also already has a case, HDD, and Power Supply from his last PC.
