What is the most important hardware component aside from internet connection when it comes to game capture? like recording CSGO? Is it CPU, RAM, GPU? WHen I try record CSGO with OBS, I can only do so with a very low bitrate count. When I increase the bitrate value the game starts lagging severely. By the way, my pc has an i7-3770, an nvidia geforce GTX 760, 8 gigs of RAM, and a HD.

thank you in advance

What about the storage? Does the HD or SSD writing speed have anything to do with game capture?

Unless you have a painfully old and slow hard drive, it shouldn't be an issue.

Then why does my CSGO starts lagging when I try to record it with high video bitrate ? pls help me out bruh. I'm about to by a new pc, but I need to know this stuff in order to have the correct build.

Assuming you're doing 60fps 1080p you will need 8mbps * 1.5 bitrate. Lower it to that and let me know how your performance does.

Nah bruh. I just need a simple answer. Recording games demands the most of what component? I don't think it's the CPU. I'm leaning towards gpu, but I'd like someone who is sure to tell me.

No, dude, your hardware isn't the issue! I can stream CS at 1080p60 easily on an i7-4790HQ and 960m laptop.

For game capture you have NO need of an internet connection. So i find it weird that you say "most important aside from internet connection". To find out what's causing the problem you can start by monitoring the usage of all the components that are used during capture. HDD, CPU and GPU. When you start capturing you'll see which is causing the issue because that will be the one that suddenly jumps to 100% usage.

Right, I was thinking about streaming when I said that, internet connection has nothing to do with it. Thanks for the reply. How do I monitor those while in-game?
