hello everyone :)

I travel quite a bit between the United States and Norway.

what would tell me whether or not the power supply I am buying works in both countries? thank you :)

They should work, so long as you have the cord and your PSU has a voltage switcher.

However, I don't really know what PSU you're buying, as you have not included a link.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

I think it might not work. You need a volage transformer/converter for that and they are big af.

Something like this

https://www.amazon.ca/Goldsource-STU-2000-Voltage-Transformer-Converter/dp/B0022U4J12/ref=sr_1_5/164-2354429-6410919?ie=UTF8&qid=1479443815&sr=8-5&keywords=110v+220v+transformer

Both of those are auto-switching power supplies that can take in a range from 100-240V AC at both 50-60Hz so you will have no issues, only thing you need is a new power cord for the plug end.

It should say on the label something like 100v - 250v AC 50/60 Hz or something like that.

Most of the computer ATX power supplies are universal, but it's best to double check by looking at specifications or at pictures of the power supply.

For example for the Seasonic 620w power supply go to the newegg page and then click on the pictures button and look at the 7th picture with the label, you can see there 100v .. 240v 9A  , 50/60 Hz : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096

later edit: You just need to buy the power cable that works with the mains sockets in the country you're in, the other connector on the power supply is standardized. You can buy the cable in any computer store.
