Super Flower Leadex Gold 650W

Yesterday I've got a leadex gold 650w psu for my i5 and gtx 1070 gaming x system.

I have noticed that when i turn off my pc, the psu is making a low humming noise, i think it is coil whine, but only audible if i put my ear very close to the psu.

Should i return it? Or is it common with this unit?

Coil whine is common. Lots of PSUs have it.

If don't like it, contact superflower, they will be able to help you.

It could be but isn't coil whine from a load? I don't see how a trickle charge could instigate the whine.

Well i can guarantee that it is the psu, the pc is off, and if i put my ear on the psu i can hear a low coil whine.

It is likely not a reason to worry. Like you said it's only audible if you put your ear really close, and the reason could be anything from the standby rail making some component vibrate, to capacitors letting out sound as they discharge.
