15" Gaming Laptop - <$1500

I have a co-worker who reached out to me who is looking to buy a gaming laptop for his son. He was looking for the best value for a laptop with a screen size of 15". As I am not currently on the best gaming laptops in the market, I was hoping that community would be able to provide me with a few suggestions.

do you know what games they will play? if its just CSGO I do pretty well with intel 2.2Ghz I7-5650U and Intel HD 6000 graphics. If you want a dedicated GPU for newer games you can't look past Nvidia's 10 series laptop GPUs

Talking with him, the laptop will be used to play AAA FPS (Battlefield 1, Call of Duty, Titanfall), Sims, and similar games. So would a 1060 or 1070 be the best option?
