PS4 pro help

Hey there! So i'm planning to buy a ps4 PRO 1tb. but i'v got some questions. since i am a pc gamer i dont know anything about ps4's.

Can i use my Asus VG248QE monitor? or do i need a tv. can i put in a usb mic? or headset only

As far as what you can hook it up to, any monitor/tv that accepts an HDMI signal will work.

AFAIK the only mic's you can use with a ps4 have to be plugged into the controller itself (so pretty much any phone headset works) USB will not though.

oh sorry. Just was curious why the PS4 pro was so enticing. I mean, Uncharted and Battleborn are pretty sweet, but it seems like a large upfront cost for a few exclusives.

There's a difference between being curious and being needlessly rude. If someone asks for help in the console section and the only thing that comes to your mind is to berate the person, keep it to yourself. And stay out of the console subforum if the mere mention of a PS4 causes such great anger in you.

The PS4 comes with a little inline mic you can use to plug into the controller, but I'm sure the quality is meh.

I'm fine with consoles tbh. I've actually considered getting a PS4 for uncharted, because it looks like a sweet game series. Kind of made the post out of gut reaction, and didn't think through my words (I tend to do that sometimes).

Don't forget The Last of Us, Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War 3, God of War 2017, Ratchet & Clank, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I think their exclusive lineup is good enough to justify at least the Slim if you want Uncharted 4. I was ready to go out and buy a GTX 1070 and then I had to slap myself and remember I'm on 1080p and my GTX 970 still plays everything at 60 fps, though I have to turn settings to high on new games now. I kind of feel the same about PS4 Pro though. I'm playing on 1080p and all the games I want that are out play the same or better on PS4 Slim since devs are so stubborn about forcing rendering at 1800p on the Pro even when you're running a 1080p panel.
