i7 6700 or i5 6600k

I am stuck between 2 CPUs for a new build. Its between the i7 6700 (note non k) and the i5 6600k. I would be doing rendering of videos and editing in adobe premiere pro, streaming using OBS at 720p to youtube and also recording 1080p 60fps. I would be recording and streaming games such as overwatch, Farcry 4, no mans sky, GTA V etc. I am planning to pair it with a 1070. Any insight in what CPU i should get.

After this build i am not planning on upgrading my build for a while

6700 for sure unless you tell obs to stream using your gpu then the 6600k (if you overclock) will just be as good the rendering and stuff will only take a couple more secs not worth it for a consumer

Yeah why not go with a 6700K. That extra investment now is worth it for you. I asume you will use a Z170 board since you also mentioned the 6600k. 6700 definitly and just go K.

You just might aswell save for a 6700k and pair it with a hyper 212 evo, it will give you a more future-proof and power for your needs :)

I just asked a similar question. Everyone pointed me to the 6600k because I was doing primarily gaming.

If you are into streaming, etc. it's actually nice to have a powerful locked CPU. You're never going to crash because of an OC you pushed a bit too far - there is no fiddling around. Just a lot of stability.

That is worth something on its own.
