Hi guys! I want to know what mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity is best. I know this is personal, but what is the 'pro' mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity or total SI (DPI*IG sensetivity)? Also, what do you guys use? Thanks!

The quality of the sensor is more important than how fast you can move the mouse across the screen. A bad sensor will just be jumpy.

Your sensitivity in games depends on the games you play. FPS players from the old days had old mice with low dpis (400) for their old monitors, and they use big mousepads to move their whole hands since it's so slow otherwise. New "pros" try to train themselves in that technique even though it's outdated.

Your settings should be whatever works for you. Just make sure you're using a quality mouse if you want the best performance/accuracy/responsiveness.

soo what do you suggest for a 1440x900 monitor and a G303 (pretty sure has best sensor)? I believe ppl usually use 400 dpi and 2 sensetivity or 800 dpi of u got raw mouse.

IMO it varies between games, and the in-game settings (e.g. sensitivity) that you use -- you have to choose what gives you the BEST results for you.

For an example, with me (Logitech G9x and a 1920x1200 screen), I have different profiles for some of the common games I play:

  • BF4: 600 / 650 / 700 DPI
  • Rainbow Six Siege / DOOM (2016): 250 / 350 / 450 DPI
  • Starcraft II: 1400 / 1600 / 1800 DPI
  • Day-to-day in Windows (Also my Crysis 3 profile?): 1400 / 1800 / 2200 DPI

AMD Ryzen 9000 Rig

  • AMD R7 9800X3D + Alphacool CORE 1 w/ Performance Mount Kit + Thermal Grizzly AM5 Contact Frame
  • Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice
  • 32GB (16GB X2) G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6400
  • Sapphire NITRO+ 6800 XT Special Edition + EKwb Full Cover Block
  • Custom Loop w/ 2x 360mm Radiators
  • WD SN850X + WD SN750 + Samsung 980
  • EVGA P2 850W + Red/White CableMod Cables
  • Lian-Li O11 Dynamic EVO XL

AMD Ryzen 5000 Rig

  • AMD R7-5800X
  • Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC
  • 32GB (16GB X 2) Crucial Ballistix RGB DDR4-3600
  • Gigabyte Vision RTX 3060 Ti OC
  • EKwb D-RGB 360mm AIO
  • Intel 660p NVMe 1TB + Crucial MX500 1TB + WD Black 1TB HDD
  • EVGA P2 850W + White CableMod cables
  • Lian-Li LanCool II Mesh - White

I use around 1700 dpi on a 1920x1080. That's what works for my setup (not a lot of arm room). Before that I was using another mouse at 1600.

So for your resolution I'd probably be around 1100-1300. But that's just what's comfortable for me in games. As long as you can get a headshot quickly then that's your dpi. :)
