Crossfire r9 270x

Hey guys,

I'm think about upgrading my single 4gb asus r9 270x. 

I was considering an rx 480, but then I saw some cheap r9 270x on ebay for around 80$. 

What do you guys think? Do you think the crossfire is better? (from a pure performance stand point)

What are you using that PC for(Gaming, Editing, Mining, ...)?

 

For Gaming, I would get the RX 480 (or 1060, depends on what's cheaper).

 

Crossfire scaling is pretty bad in most games.

Do you think a single rx 480 is more powerful? In gaming

Will work fine I guess

solid and cheap option to get more performance. 

And i think if the crossfire profiles for the games are good it will outperform the 480

 

in general I'd recommend a 480 for sure. But only 80$ is quit nice.

Depends...

If the games you are playing has a scaling of over 75% (very rare) than it might be worth buying the second card.

Yeah i know that a single rx480 would be more efficient and cause less heat, but 80$ is pretty cheap.

Yea infact that's exactly what I switched from. An XFX R9 270x DD to a asus rx480 strix. I've been really happy with it for the past couple months. Crossfire doesn't scale well enough for it to be worth it so I would definitely go with a 480 or 1060.

Yeah I know it is pretty cheap, but remember you can sell your r9 270x for 80+$ too.
