nvidia gt 740m low fps

Hey, I made a post a few days ago about the same issue, but now things have changed. I have a laptop with an i7 4700mq, an nvidia gt 740m and 8GB RAM. I said that I was having ridiculously low FPS in every game I played on my nvidia gt740m GPU. A few months ago I replaced the thermal paste and cleaned the fan with isopropyl alcohol 99.9% and the fan was as new and I was getting good temps, but now the gpu was reaching 105ºC. A couple days ago I reopened my laptop and noticed the fan wasn't very dirty at all, cleaned the fan, the heatsink and those exhaust metal blades (which I never did before) and the gpu temperatures dropped from 105ºC to 85ºC maximum and now I'm able to play most games I couldn't before but not as good as I used to play and that may be because of some previous overclock I did before so basically I've got a degraded nvidia GPU. I know these GPU's are soldered to the motherboard and I know it is possible to resolder a new gt 740m, but where can I get a replacement one? Is it possible to replace it with a different gt 7xxm? Also, is the thermal paste supposed to be like that after 2 months? image

Dont put to many on it.

for a laptop all u need is a one grain of corn.

740m is a low end gpu, overclocking it just..it will help but its better just to upgrade your laptop.

Or built a pc. and on top of that. its a laptop.

Overclock need a good heatsink. and basically u are trying to overclock a cpu with a stock heatsink only its a gpu.

I dont think u can replace it by yourself. unless u are good.

Just go to ebay or craiglist and see if u can find a broken laptop with 740m gpu.

The thing is, i'm trying to find a "cheap" solution to play a few games better. I'm not going to build a computer just now, because soon I will have no use for it as I'll finish school and will have to work. but anyway, when replacing the gpu, does it have to be a gt 740m?  or maybe it could be a 745m?

lmao jk whichever is cheaper. It'll cost less than a new 740M if you could even find one
