I am currently interested in purchasing a used server off of eBay, and in the listing it specifies that the motherboard is the TYAN S7012 motherboard.

I have never used TYAN or have ever heard of TYAN. Are they any good? Also, from what I see in the motherboard specification on TYAN's website (http://www.tyan.com/Motherboards_S7012_S7012GM4NR), it says that there is IPMI BMC onboard. However, I do not see a dedicated LAN port for IPMI on the motherboard.

Do I need an additional part to get IPMI working? OR is it being shared through LAN1?

Tyan is quite a prominent server company. Their motherboards are quite good in terms of quality.

IPMI can be handled over LAN btw c:

For some reason it's not giving me the option to set an IP in BIOS, just STATIC or DHCP02b82c6c11.png

I'm following this, http://www.tyan.com/manuals/S7012_QR_v1_0.pdf

Would LAN1 be the bottom right port?

Mostlikely also in the manual, just look for io layout
