1440p monitor recomendations

Squirrel724

I am looking at possibly upgrading my monitor to a 1440p monitor. I currently have a LG 27MP33 which is a basic 27" 1080p IPS panel. I would like to move to a 1440p panel of the same size for the added amount of content I can get onto the screen. I do game a bit however I do not need any specific gaming features in my monitor and I do not need anything beyond 60Hz. It must be an IPS panel as I cannot stand TN panels and I do not do anything which requires color accuracy but I don't want something that looks horrible. I do however need to be able to plug a number of different devices into it. I need at least 2 HDMI ports (3 would be ideal) and a display port. Features such as a USB hub are nice but not required.

TL;DR: I would like to get a basic 27", 1440p, IPS, 60Hz monitor with lots of ports.

What are your recommendations?

I have just got my hands on a new Asus ROG Swift PG279QR which is new this year its 1440p 165hz 1ms g-sync its a TN panel which is a change from the older PG279Q which is IPS, but people complained about poor blacks and light bleed problems? I got it a few days ago and its bloody good, no problems with quality.

only problem is the price £550.00!

Is anybody else using this yet?
