Disadvantage to building without GPU?

It'd be fine to run without the GPU but please, don't even bother trying to run games.

So tomorrow I'm going to be getting all the parts for my new computer excluding the graphics card which is coming a few days later. I'm considering building it and running it without the GPU until it arrives since the 6700k has on board graphics... Would their be any negative effect this would have? I would think 0 and that I would just not play games till I get the GPU (Instead just setting everything up on the new OS) But am I missing something?

Unless he plays games such as League of Legends, those run fine on an Intel iGPU. Or Minesweeper.

I play more intensive stuff :) The GPU coming is a 1080, but I wasn't planning on using it to play games anyway (While waiting) :) Ty for the feedback.

if i were in your situation of new pc but no gpu for a few days i would set everything up and just download/transfer all programs, games and files from whatever you were/are going to use and maybe do a first startup of the games to get that darned first time starting game, ssetting up dx11 message out of the way. also if you plan to oc the cpu you could also do that aswell.

That was the plan if I decided not to wait :)
