So I am building a rig for gaming and for my family to use and after revising the list probably over 10 times, I am happy with this build. I am going to get windows off of kinguin for 30.00 dollars and I have made up my mind on not using the gtx 1060. I am on a budget of six hundred dollars and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I am going to get windows off of kinguin for 30.00 dollars and I have made up my mind on not using the gtx 1060.

You won't be able to install more than a game or two with a drive that size.

That's about the only thing I noticed. Rest looks good. Too bad you didn't buy it last week, could have gotten a way better PSU. TBH I'd wait for Black Friday. You'll either get nicer parts at the same price, or a cheaper overall build.

Maybe cut out the cooler and put in a 1tb drive?

If you're unhappy with how the stock fan looks, you can remove the sticker and it looks like this, though I don't know if you'd prefer this.

I will probably do that because usually we get prebuilt systems and keep them for like 6 or 7 years. Hopefully I keep upgrading the system once I get it though

PcPP shows it's overbudget but the price for the psu is incorrect the price coming at $20 after MIR. That makes the total price $582.74. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=11552995&PID=8129406&SID=

Upgraded CPU this way, stock CPU cooler should be fine, and you are much better off with HDD since it's nearly 10X larger.

What CPU should I upgrade to because i5's start for about $50 more. Are there any smaller ssd's than 120GB because I mostly want it for boot times?

You could get a 60gb SSD like the Kingston V300 (Link Below) but you should note that 60gb SSDs like the Kingston might perform better than HDD but not as fast as better and larger capacity SSDs. You could also go with a hybrid HDD. (Link Below)

Whether it is an i3, i5, or i7 doesn't necessarily mean higher i# is better. I'd suggest the CPU I showed for your price range, but you can go with the i3-6100 and might not have any problems.
