Anyone have any improvements that I could make to this build? The price needs to stay under $800AUD ($615 USD)

I have a friend who has a spare Delta 750W PSU and another one with a 128GB Samsung SSD, so those parts aren't included.

is there a specific reason for the micro atx mobo with the atx case? usually you'd have a micro atx case but they can be expensive. otherwise for gaming it looks pretty good.

It looks fine. What is your PSU? also, i strongly recomend you get a 1 x 8 stick of ram. 8gb of ram is barely enough currently, and 2 years from now you may want more. Rather than replacing the entire kit, with a 1x8 setup you can simply add a stick.

I have to buy the case in person (Shipping costs like $150) and all of the micro-atx cases were pretty bad and I'm not too bothered on the size anyway

I've been seeing some new games popping up that require 12gb of ram now. Well only one atm but it's starting to happen. I'm not sure it was a one time thing but forza horizon 3 spec requirements is insane.

Good point, I was thinking of getting 2x 4gb sticks since that dual channel has better performance, but I didn't think about future upgrades, thanks

This is the debate you will have to deal with xD 1x8 and no dual channel till you upgrade or 2x4 and have to replace the whole kit  If you plan to upgrade do the 1x8, if not do the 2x4. I also have a personal vendeta with g.skill ram, I would go with some corsair dims since they are not all that much more expensive and a night and day difference in reliability and reviews.

The PSU is a 750W Delta PSU that I'm getting second hand from a friend, a bit overkill but I mean hey it's great build quality and free so might aswell take it.

Is there any decently priced micro or reg atx mobo's around $70-100 AUD, since that apparently some people have some major issues with the mobo I'm getting

what's the issue? I don't see much of an issue with the board. you don't need to overclock and don't need anything special in terms of a mobo. At that price point things get a bit scarce especially since you're in AU.

Also I know that your budget isn't huge but try to find a hard drive as well because the ssd is really small. Either harvest it from an old computer or see if your friends have a spare hhd. either that or you'll just be uninstalling and reinstalling games haha.

I also feel terrible/lucky that I live in the u.s I couldn't stand paying a lot more money for parts.

I have used that motherboard before, and it really isnt bad. It certainly isnt great, but you get what you pay for. As being one of the cheapest lga 1151 boards out there, i will say its pretty solid quality.
