Hey guys :)! What's up.

I'm looking for developers for an existing project. There will probably be no financial reward for this but it will be fun and exciting to do :D.

I'm looking for devs to join the Linus Forum TIps development. This project is currently supported by the community with over 190 app acquisitions on the Windows Store. More details will be provided if anybody is interested.

The project is completely open source but I'd like for some people to join and to have an official group of people working on it.

I'm looking for:

  • Anybody who can program in C#, Java or Swift
  • Anybody who is committed and cares about the Linus Tech Tips community.
  • Anybody who has had some experience in developing apps or programs
  • Anybody who would be interested in joining

Expected prior knowledge:

  • Knowledge of any of the following programming languages: C#, Java, Swift or XAML
  • Experience with any of these IDEs: Visual Studio 2015, Android Studio or Xcode
  • Experience with using Slack, GitHub Desktop and GitHub's website

Other positions:

  • I'm also open to anybody who wants to do QA testing or coming up with new ideas for the app :).

If you're interested then please PM me on LTT. Further details will be given there.

Thanks a lot :).

If you want, then I can kind of explain some things and teach some stuff that I know.

I'm in a way looking for a smaller project I can increase my experiences with Java. I started studying 4 months ago and I'm in a need for some kind of smaller projects just to get my skills going. But I got the feeling that this will be to 'BIG' for me?

But I can of course help with smaller stuff if you need testers etc :)

If you feel this project is too big then by all means, you can be a tester or ideas creation :).

Make sure to read the README :D. I know it sounds stupid but many people don't do it.

I do have an intermediate level experience in C# though.

Python is by far a better language. Currently learning nosetests while learning python the hard way.

So is this an LTT app?

Also, wouldn't this be better in the programmer section of the forums?

I wouldn't mind doing QA testing, my programming energies are used up with work and my own personal project right now.
