There was a similar post earlier today over in the PC Gaming forum.  A few people (myself included) recommend building one out of IKEA parts.  In total it would be about $150 and not a lot of work.  And it comes with the added benefit that you would be able to choose your size, finish, and it would be height adjustable.  It's one possible route if you're OK going the DIY road.

Unfortunately, I don't have any specific recommendations for pre-made stuff.  But one option is going to your local thrift shop and seeing what they have. There is a larger one near me that I know had a couple desks, chairs and other office things at one point (I got the large, leather desk chair I'm sitting on now for $5 over there).

I anticipate this thread turning into a giant Ikea ad.

That is NOT where I meant for this to go when I pointed out the earlier thread.

Edit: In hindsight, I can see why my previous post would seem ad-ish.

It was a jab haha. Ikea set ups are pretty good for money if one is near. If one isn't, the shipping can ridiculous when you try to order $45 worth of components with $100 in shipping.

The desk I use is this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAAH74AG9249

Overall it isn't bad. Though, the instructions were awful and the top can be a bit sharp (I have an extended mousepad near the edges so it helps there)
