Ok I'll keep it here. ;)

I'd start next week and I want a new PSU but I don't know which one to get: EVGA 1000W P2 or Corsair HX1000i. I like evga's custom cables more than one's from Corsair.

Little update

Today I got a Monsoon D5 reservoir, Mayhem X1 UV Blue concentrate and Distilled water but still short of some fittings. It took them 2 days to proceed my order from a store to a warehouse.. no comments here.

And I wanna share with you guys my "Home server" build that I completed today.

Here we have:

Fractal Design Core 1000 (I love this case, it's so pretty :) )

Asus H77-I and Pentium G2020 (I got it off ebay for 50 pounds)

Corsair CX430M PSU

Cooler Master EVO TX3 fan cooler

60Gb SSD and 3Tb HDD (with LianLi HDD cage)

gallery_10692_1797_65814.jpg

I chose Core 1000 over CM N200 just for the looks

gallery_10692_1797_23894.jpg

Let's go. Fan sleeved and installed.

gallery_10692_1797_18531.jpg

I'm sleeving "power sw" and "reset sw" only because I prefer a clean look and no blinking LED's, hence only 2 cables.

gallery_10692_1797_107855.jpg

The rest just tied up and left behind front panel.

gallery_10692_1797_19224.jpg

gallery_10692_1797_27999.jpg

And here is a finished system. Love it.

  • 5 months later...

Hi, I would like to apologize for not making updates. I completed my build later in September, but then ran into some difficulties. We had no internet for over a month, I ordered and paid for EVGA white sleeved cables but something went wrong and it never appeared on EVGA account, luckily I had a proof from P/P and after 10 emails into nowhere and 1 to EVGA P/P team I got my order in December. Here is some pics of building process:

gallery_10692_1778_38251.jpg

As you can notice here is only 3 modules of ram, that's right cose 1 in home server.

D5 speed 1

gallery_10692_1778_56665.jpg

Later I purchased X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty, I think Creative have made the best 3D effects with their CC3D chips.

gallery_10692_1778_56252.jpg

Today I installed those evga's white cables (I was using red ugly cables before and that's the main reason of no updates)

gallery_10692_1778_101194.jpg

I got a second set of white memory modules and the blue ones went into my home server.

gallery_10692_1778_88389.jpg

gallery_10692_1778_44191.jpg

Here u can see a power brick hanging on the left side. What is it for? =)

gallery_10692_1778_69363.jpg

It's for the UV LED strip.

It's all for now, but it's not the end  ;)

PS: that power brick for led strip is hella noisy, I have to solder molex connector later.

Most likely that this is the last update.

Last year I painted mosfet heatsinks on mobo. It was pretty easy.

And now I decided to sell this pc. As it's too big =)

But it served me well.

Thanks for following.
