MSI B150 GAMING M3

Obviously, it's an entry level/budget motherboard and as a result, won't have many features (I don't think it has RAID support). But what are you planning on using it for?

Main Rig: Ryzen 5 5600X with ID Cooling SE-234 || Gigabyte Aorus B550I Pro AX || Asus Dual OC 3060Ti || 32GB Trident Z Neo 3600MHz || 500GB Samsung Evo Plus || 500GB Kingston A400 || 1TB WD HDD || Cooler Master SFX V750 || Cooler Master NR200P

Secondary Rig: i7-7700K with Corsair H115i || MSI Z270 Pro Carbon AC || MSI Gaming X 1060 6GB || 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz || 500GB Adata SX8200 || 2x 1TB WD Blue || Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX

If you're not going with a K/X series processor and not going SLI/Crossfire, you would probably be fine.

It has "crossfire" support. Not nvidia (so my bad about not having crossfire support). It has multi-graphics support but not for nvidia.

What it doesn't do:

Overclock CPU or RAM

SLI (can only do crossfire, you have to pay more to get SLI)

NVMe

Thunderbolt 3

USB 3.1 Gen 2

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

What is your budget/CPU/Graphics? You gotta tell us more about your build for us to make an educated suggestion.

The board has every feature you'd likely need given its positioning.

But, as others have said, we'd need to know more about your overall build.

Eh, you're likely to reach a bottleneck with the drive itself before you saturate USB 3.0 for an external drive.

It's not actually that useful and chances of you noticing the difference between that and 3.1 are slim.

There are also very few things using Gen 2.
