Based off my experience with a Haswell i3 mobile, I'd say good luck at 800x600.

Hi.

 

I'm doing some research into a new laptop for myself, and one for my dad.

 

The one I'm looking at for my dad is an Acer laptop, with a quad-core Pentium at 1.1GHz up to 2.5GHz.

It also has the integrated Intel HD Graphics 505.

 

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any benchmarks about the chip or even comparisons to chips I've used.

 

If anybody has any experience with this chip or knows where I can find benchmarks, that would be great!

What do you want to do with the laptop? Gaming of any sort is out of the question. This GPU is probably only suited for playing back movies and allowing Windows to run.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.
