Is there any noticeable difference between a DVI-D cable and an HDMI 1.8 cable. I've been using the DVI cable that came with my 144Hz monitor but my new gpu came with an HDMI 1.8 cable. Just curious.

No, HDMI has the advantage of being compatible with adapters and more popular. I don't think you will notice a real difference ;).

Your monitor is very unlikely to accept 144Hz 1080p over HDMI so...DVI-D DL is better in this case :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

HDMI 1.8 is not a thing. 1.4 and 2.0 are. 1.8 is the length of the cable in metres.

HDMI has no advantages over DVI-D as DVI is easily adapted to HDMI. Electronically their signal is identical.

When in doubt, re-format.

I've found that HDMI adapters play more nicely with my hardware, and that they're cheaper. Point is that it don't really matter. :P

Fair enough, but yea electronically they are the same.

Also, my name is also Milan. Keel up the good work!

When in doubt, re-format.
