I agree, wrist rests are super useful. Though we aren't really supposed to type like that...

I love those things. I wish a company would make one attached to a sexy aluminium pad though. I bought one of those stand alone wrist rests and it's just not the same as one attached to the pad.

They also make memory foam (I think that's what it is) wrist rests. Might be worth looking into. I'm not sure if the gel one would be tall enough.

HELL YES!  I'm so glad i waited. Not only did i find the km780rgb for 99 bucks, but it looks like they updated it so that the media keys have been re-done so they have per-key lighting and aren't just red! Im buying this right now thank's for your input!

My first mechanical keyboard finally kicked the bucket and i need a new keyboard. I really like Logitech products, but I also want RGB Backlighting. I like how the G710+ looks and has a wrist rest, but i don't like that it's only got white backlighting. The G910 looks like what i need but the wrist rest looks cancerous and the keycaps look terrible. The G810 looks like a good alternative but NO WRIST REST. I have no idea what went through Logitech's design process, but I like myself a good symmetrical keyboard wrist rest. NOT some "gamer" wrist rest for only the left hand. I don't mind having a TKL keyboard as my former keyboard that I have self proclaimed as "dead" is TKL. The G410 also looked good to me, but NOPE it's got the terrible "gaming" wrist rest. Any suggestions are welcome as this is the season of sales, and i'm in no rush to go and buy one immediately. Although i do have to use my old membrane keyboard and it's giving me the heebie jeebies just typing on it.

I'd get the KM.780 by GSkill. Great keyboard, build quality is better than the K70.

The software might be a little lacking on the RGB model (I have the regular version) compared to Corsair, but as long as you're not trying to have a laser light show emit from beneath your hands I'm sure you'd be fine.

There's also the Blackwidow that @Unexas. recommended. Beautiful light, and I like Razers "blue" switch more than Cherry's.

I actually saw the KM780 on sale a couple of weeks ago for 99 bucks. I was very tempted to get it, but since it's the holiday season, im expecting some decent deals come black friday/cyber monday. I Also posted a question on here regarding the software, but i didn't really get any solid answer. Do you know if the software has improved at all over the past year or so?

For the RGB version? No idea. It was perfectly fine with the version I had though. If it was $99 for the RGB version that's crazy! I paid $89 for the regular.

Sure, not as flashy as Corsairs, but I had a K70 and compared to that, the KM780 just felt way better. The volume scroll wheel is very fluid whereas Corsairs was sticky (same as my friends K95, and his gfs K70). Has a light bar showing volume level. Has macro keys. Just seems like an overall better package.

yeah it was for the rgb version. The only petty gripe i have with it is that the volume light bar as well as some other keys aren't rgb, but stuck to red. It does look really nice though. I was really down to try out Romer-G Switches but i can't stand not using a wrist rest, so unless i buy a wrist rest seperately, logitech might be out of the question. Although now that im thinking about it, I could just get a g810 and get a gel wrist rest and see how a third party wrist rest functions on a keyboard, as i have one of "those" mousepads and it's done wonders on my wrist.
