DDoS is one specific way of doing a Dos attack

dis·trib·ute
disˈtribyo͞ot/
verb
past tense: distributed; past participle: distributed
  1. 1.
give shares of (something); deal out.

"information leaflets are being distributed to hotels and guest houses"
synonyms: give out, deal out, dole out, dish out, hand out/around; More

    •

    •

    •

  2. 2.
    LOGIC
use (a term) to include every individual of the class to which it refers.

"the middle term must be distributed, at least once, in the premises"

I guess putting malware on a game to start a DoS attack doesn't have anything to do with distribution. In this case scenario you are causing an unnecessary fuss over something so minor.

North Korea is such a joke, sadly, the condition people live in there is not. I can't wait till we (humanitarian nations) liberate this place.

On other notes, I never wanted to play "Oh Great Leader!" anyways. The trailer was garbage.

IF and i repeat IF, people in NK live bad, it's not a fault of theirs, but it is simple principle question, someone will rather die from hunger than allow someone esle to oppose his will on him. If by humanitarian, you mean totalitarian nations who present themselves as humanitarian (the case for most European and American countries), and international predators, i hope NK will never allow those "humanitarians" to step one feet into their land.

Booring like their country. Shame, NK could become self-sustained economy quite easily, without the commercialism like china. Like 80% of work force is in army. Sad. Stupid elite.

Not to mention tourism income... NK could become awesome country without western crap.

Oh yea, great documentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oULO3i5Xra0

youtube is full of dprk ( north korea ) documentaries and stuff :)

I wouldn't trust those things at all, it is mainly made by people who don't know even basics of geo-political events. I think they are good country as they are now. However i do believe that this nonsense (about attacks, malware etc.) is part of geo-politics propaganda, so ppl should pass as nothing happened and ignore it.

Can we just, like, form together an elite squad of LTT forum members to go and assassinate the leadership over there already? Jeez.

Nope, and that isn't your/our business to begin with :).

It's not "their" lands it's Kim Jong Un's land, they revere him as a god, or at least his father. They have no control and most of the people are starving or in the military, I know you think we shouldn't get "into their business" but why should we let them live like that? This country is nothing but a disaster. I am not saying humanitarian nations as in every western nation is a great land of non-corruption.

I'm sure you think people in NK are all fine and dandy and I'm sure you think that all those news sources are lying to us so we can take advantage of them. Honestly open your eyes. I'm guessing Somalia also has a government too?

Ask people who live in South Korea who have family over there or the ones old enough to have been born before the war, I'm sure they'll say differently.

You honestly believe that people in the NK are just living fine?

I do not believe they live fine ofc. But i do believe that "their God" acts in their interest, unlike "humanitarians" of yours/ours. I love to look deeper into problem, and i see what is real problem here, and it is clear that is not Kim Jong.

I think before anyone look at others yard, should look at it's own first, fix problems there, and then, if results are positive, in colaboration with others help them fix their problems (if is humanitarian by nature). Sometimes (or most of the times) what people think do not represent what is reality, people are stupid (where stupid means non informed, not an insult in general, but factual thing), so they could not understand why one event took place as reaction to another, it is chain. So, opinion of pople in South Korea is irrelevant.

This topic is much wider than anyone here could possible imagine, but basics are very simple, as soon as you read/hear news about nation X doing this and that, live like this or that..., you should question a reasoning behind it. When looking at NK geo-strategic position,e verything becomes clear as day.

I feel bad for people who suffer due to the situation in some events, but i can assure you that situation isn't much better (if better at all) in your yard. Bottom line is, in politics play, people on lowest scale suffer the most (no matter where), it is just a matter of shoosing less evil, and i think theya re better of with Kim Jong than with "humanitarian" nations.

Now I totally agree with the whole we need to clean up our messes before theirs and I understand that we shouldn't get involved but when is too late? Look at South Korea, they're doing great, why could NK not be like that? I think people in NK deserve that. SK has to ship tons of food to NK just to feed them, people in NK shouldn't have to live like that.

The Kim family spends so much of their money on military instead of feeding "his" people. That needs to change. It's a totally different situation then places in Africa because most of those places wouldn't even have the ability to become a nation that could prosper (which is why refugees go to America and places like Germany) but NK COULD be like that but because of Kim they can't. So they are not fine under that family regime.

I see a lot of, North Korea doesn't blah blah blah, yet they have a pretty elite Cyber Warfare Devision manned by approx. 3,000 people. I really wish before trying to make fun of something they tried to actually research what they are talking about. If you could amass enough IPs and infect systems, well, you know what can happen when you initiate an attack with that many infected systems with decent to excellent internet. And if you were to say attack a US target with US IPs? North Koreans are actually really smart, and are the new up and comer in Cyber stuff. Why don't you go ask South Korea about all the attacks they have sustained over the past four years?

They dont need Cyber Warfare Devision, they need Civil Welfare Division. :D

I dont know about them being some uber hackers or something... but i know that the IPs they have and DDoS they are talking about in that article is not rocket science.

Well, there is one big difference. It depends what people really want. SK is doing well, if you look at nation welth as prosperity reference, but if you look at it from freedom perspective, i don't think they doing well. You see, in order to have a quality life, you don't need materialism, it is contrary actually.

Africa is completely different story, they was colony for centuries, and that influenced developement of the whole African continent, in favor of developement of Western European continent. If you have that on mind, obviously, one of the reasons why they spend money on weapons instead of "feeding people". You can't destroy civilization completely (you can actually, but it is not profatible) once it was bult, but you can degrade it quite well. Africans had prosperous (and much more advanced) nation (hint = Egypt).

You need to understand that NK is doing right thing, and why they do it, and why people live (if it is bad) as they live in NK. Problem for NK is that they oppose to totalitarian European and American nations, that way they are blocked by them, and most probably (99%) destabilized by them (inserted corruption and all sort of tricks). Anyway, we are driffting away from topic lol.
