H440 Side Panel

I'm trying to add a hard drive to my computer but the left side panel (the one without the window) simply won't come off. It appears to be fitting properly and I've loosened both of the thumb skrews but it simply won't come off

Might sound a bit simple, but as well as loosening the thumb screws, did you also remove them?

No, but you shouldn't have to as the are capacitive

or wedge a flat head screwdeiver in the folded over bit at the back and twist it
