How do I do this?

How do I go about bypassing an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s, I don't know which, that has activation lock on it? I recently bought it from a co-worker who has forgotten the Apple ID and password, it is not stolen or anything.

"It's not stolen or anything" yup don't believe that. Only way to unlock it is to sign into the Apple ID of the password associated with that iPhone and plug it into your computer.

1. Download iTunes and log into the account that password is associated with (Something you don't know).

2. Plug in the phone via USB.

3. Reset password.

You have to know at least the email and email password that was used to sign up with Apple ID to reset the password.

Ok, I did lie a little bit, I didn't get it from a co-worker, I got it from a fellow sophomore at my high school, who doesn't know the email or password

That leads us to believe it's stolen, if it's not, then that fellow student CAN have it unlocked.

Until then we have to lock this thread since we can't help you since it would be illegal.
