Hi guys,

I've been watching Linustechtips for years on youtube but I had no idea they had this forum! Anyway, just made a new account as I have an issue with my audio that is giving me a headache.

Ever since upgrading to Windows 10, I have had tried multiple realtek drivers but keep coming across this one issue. I have room correction set for my 5.1 system and it seems to reset on every reboot.

Those of you who use realtek will know how cumbersome it is to adjust the speaker distance using Realtek's UI. I was just wandering if anyone had a solution.

If not, is it worth buying a cheap soundcard to overcome this? Would a budget soundcard sound better than my onboard ALC898 chip? Some recommendations would be great, I don't want to spend over £30 ($35).

Thanks in advance for any help.
