Power converter adaptors

I am currently looking to buy a cheap 144 hz monitor on Newegg AU. I was looking at the specs sheet for the Acer GN246HL monitor, but I noticed that it had a "Type A" power plug used in North America. I am in Australia so it obviously wont work here, but I also found a cheap socket converter, the GENERIC PA-3515. Is this safe to use and are there alternatives if not?

The power brick for that monitor seems to have a standard iec 60320 c5 connector, so you can get a nema 5-15 to iec 60320 c5 cable and it will work fine

I looked it up there, but the only one sold has a NEMA 5-15 Power Plug which wont work here.

The nema 5-15 is what the US uses.

Amazon doesnt ship that product here. Would that other power adaptor work? Do they sell any of those cables on Newegg AU (I cant find any)?

Power adapter would work fine. Just look for c-5 cable.

Thanks. Cant find any C5 cables there, ill use that power adaptor or try to find a cable in a store.

Can the monitor even run 230VAC@50Hz? US grid is 120VAC@60Hz.
