Do you use the original Windows 8 start menu?

Guest Gazzer96

I really like the new Windows 8 menu compared to the old one from Windows 7, but from looking on the internet a crap load of people absouletly hate it. Why I like is because I can see everything clearly, unlike with the old start menu as when you try to find something on it, it is just annoying.

The old start menu was much less work to navigate. Everything was easily alphabetized, frequent folders and settings were within reach, and a few frequent programs could be pinned. For everything else as long as you knew your ABCs or used the convenient search bar it was incredibly efficient and easy to navigate.

In addition it doesn't take that much exploration to figure out where the shut off button is.

I personally don't like it, but everyone has their own opinions. For me I can't live with it, but some people can...somehow

I use Classic Shell. I have no intention of ever upgrading to 8.1 Metro is cool in concept, but not for me. I know you weren't talking about that though.

As far as I am concerned, if SteamOS and Mantle make Linux a good enough gaming platform, that's my next OS. I'm talking 3-5 years from now of course, but still.
