Earlier today while installing a new H100i, I went to remove the stock heatsink from AMD, and when I went to do so, the CPU came with it... So I managed to heat up the thermal paste enough to separate the two, then while installing the h100i, the thermal paste got rather sloppy due to not being able to see the processor perfectly while lowering the new heatsink onto it. Some where along the line thermal paste ended up getting into the socket...

I didn't realize this until I took it all apart afterward because every time I would boot, the fans and hard drives would spin up, but no post. No beeps. Nothing. The monitor was acting like it wasn't receiving any signal at all. I have tried everything I could think off, tested all the connection to ensure they were plugged in well, checked to make sure the RAM hadn't gotten bumped in the process and even reseated the graphics card.

Now I'm at a stand still. I don't really know where to proceed from here other than to invest in a new motherboard, hell, the CPU might even be ruined at this point (No visibly bent pins so idk)...I've tried cleaning out the motherboard socket with a toothpick with little success.

Wash it with water.

jk, you might have messed up the inside of the socket when the cpu got ripped out.

I don't think water would help very much :P I think I might just end up buying a new motherboard and seeing if that fixes the problem before going out and investing another $200 in another processor

If you can wash it off with water or some kind of liquid, that wouldn't hurt it... Just let it dry before you connect it to power.  Probably drip dry it for at least a day or two to be safe, is what I would do...

This.

Normal people (not techies) can't seem to understand that so long as an electronic device is not powered, it can get wet. As long as corrosion (rust and such) doesn't happen, and it is dry before power is applied, it is fine.

As for the whole "tearing the AMD CPU out of the socket", it's fine. I've done it before multiple times. The things are built like tanks. The only sensitive part are the pins and as long as they aren't broken or bent, you are 100% A-OK.

...

Unless the PCB was bent/broken, but I figured you would mention that in the OP if that happened.

Oh, oh oh, really important thing:

Remove the BIOS battery. It's the silver thing near the center of the motherboard. That's a battery. Battery = power. Not sure if it has enough to hurt things when wet, but better safe than sorry.

GOOD NEWS! PC is working again :D managed to just use the cpu pins themselves to remove the paste from the socket, after so many times of reseating the cpu, the paste ended up just coming out and I'm not able to boot fine, keeping an eye on my temps for now, thanks everyone for the help, much appreciated!

It I were you I'd still attempt to wash the area to be sure. Good luck on getting it working, however. Hopefully the residual paste in there won't conduct any electricity.

Seems like everything is back to normal, or better, thanks to h100i, idling around 9-12 Celsius, 20-28 while gaming, all is well! :D

Try cleaning the mb with Isopropal alc then apply new paste. but go into your bios and see the temps.

Not sure, according to coretemp, each core is bouncing between 10 and 20c, I mean it is in my basement, but its not like i can see my breathe down here its probably 15c in the room

*EDIT*

checking bios revealed cpu temp to be 25c on idle, not sure if coretemp is wrong or??? regardless no overheating problems so far due to the previous incident

bios never lies! maybe  there is still little residu on the socket that is causing the sensors from changing in the OS from the paste.

Still there is no way you can cool something below ambient temperature with fans.
