New Surround PC build Please give me suggestions

Greetings ladies and gentleman. This is my first post on the Linus media forums. After seeing the YouTube video about the ULTIMATE SURROUND build I wanted to build one as well. I am currently running a surround build but its a budget build. I currently have:

Intel Core i7 950 3.07GHz

12.0 GB ram

windows 7 64 bit

Nvidia GTX  970 4GB

Two Acer GN246HL

one acer....its a old monitor but it works.

The motherboard...EVGA 132-CK-NF78. its old

So I'm going to upgrade them all and build from scratch. Any suggestions?

My budget is at $1500. I will spend more if need be.

Just get this, maybe throw a little more $$$ at the PSU and SSD, but it's a very solid build

psu tier list puts the photon at tier 3, should be good enough. can go with crucial mx300, samsung 850 evo or intel 600p for performance.

Something like this, guess subtract the cost of the case

Really I'd say screw surround and just get a 40" 4k display

What games were you going to play? Not many really support triple display set ups, CiV 6 is the best contender for current games

guess you already have the displays

I'm gonna stay at 1080p for right now. 4K is amazing but I'll get to it later....when it's cheaper. Maybe 2K.  On my current setup I play FFXIV at 60FPS at 5760x1080. Doom (the new one) is the same. I also play Civ 5 on three screens. Its kinda funny though.

1080p X 3 is nearly 4k though for performance lol

there is currently a really solid $300 4k 28" display from AOC, 4k is already pretty affordable

Really ain't worth the trouble for doing an SLI set up, especially when the budget can easily have a Fury X/1070/1080

Ye I asked that before I realised he had 2 monitors, was a better route to just add a 2nd 970 to the one he already has, but irrelevant now as I and others have posted better rigs since
