Next Gen?

Go to solution Solved by EminentSun,

No, just no. You need to be doing 4k or ultra wide 1440p in order to justify a 1080ti and 7700k.

I was wondering if its a good idea to pair up a 1080ti + 7700k for 1080p gaming planing to get both as they are Next Gen of PC gaming when they come out a nice raid 0 would fit it nicely too. I wanna see some funny comments how this will screen tear my monitor in half lol.

i doubt the 1080TI will be out by then tbh

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I dunno, I couldn't push 60FPS on DX:MD ultra quality without dropping the resolution to 1080p on my GTX 1080. Then again this includes MSAA 4x. But there are plenty of games that I play that aren't that recent that can't do over 100 FPS at 1440p.

So why bother having this 144Hz monitor...
