So long as he moves to Windows 8, no

 

so tell him to install windows 8, if he says no because windows 8 sucks call him stupid and wish him luck on getting that hotfix installed and verified properly.

I have both hotfix's downloaded for later use,.., Have YET to run into an FX machine that didnt install them on Win7.

 

As for performance difference, its not a lot anyway....

Doubt you'd even notice.

If you cant find them PM me and I'll email them to you.
