Sry, I misread your original post :). You should be able to run it fine, though I'm not sure about 21:9 support. I'm fairly sure it doesn't support 21:9, but it should definitely run at 16:9, probably medium settings to get 60fps.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhh he will probably be okay with high settings if he is running 1080p. If his 21:9 goes up to 1440p or higher, then yeeeeeeeah 16:9 at anything over 1080p starts to crush frame rate.

By the way I just bought Rise of the Tomb Raider last week. I didn't realize there was so much cussing in the first ten minutes of the game.... my bad. I hope it slows down though. I feel like they are over using it just to build tension. Lara got smacked around a lot harder in the opening scene of the 2013 version with a lot less cussing.
